Blog SEO Review Process Before Publishing

Purpose

To ensure every blog is fully SEO-optimized, keyword-targeted, and aligned with brand standards before publishing, improving search visibility and organic traffic.


Scope

Applicable to SEO Specialist (Rabina Khadka) and Content Writers for all blogs published on Cashkr and BigBoldTech.com.


Frequency

Ongoing — for every blog before publishing.


Responsibility

  • Primary: SEO Specialist — final review & optimization.

  • Secondary: Content Writer — ensure basic SEO compliance before submitting for review.


Tools Required

  • Google Docs (for drafting)

  • Ubersuggest / Google Keyword Planner (for keyword validation)

  • Grammarly / Hemingway (for readability)

  • Siteguru/ClickRank

  • Google Search (to validate meta title length & uniqueness)


Process Steps

Step 1: Writer’s Pre-Submission Checks

(Content Writer)

  1. Ensure primary keyword appears in:

    • Title (H1)

    • First 100 words

    • At least 2-3 subheadings (H2/H3)

    • Conclusion paragraph

  2. Include secondary keywords naturally in the body.

  3. Write a meta title (≤60 characters) and meta description (≤155 characters) including primary keyword.

  4. Add internal links to at least 2 related blogs or pages.

  5. Add external links to 1-2 credible sources.

  6. Add image alt text for all images (include keywords naturally).

  7. Maintain keyword density of 1%–1.5% for the primary keyword.

  8. Ensure readability score is Grade 6–8.

Step 2: SEO Review & Optimization

(SEO Specialist)

  1. Open the draft and check:

    • Keyword placement (Title, Headings, Intro, Conclusion)

    • Meta title & description length and keyword presence

    • Heading hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3, no skips)

    • Proper internal linking to relevant posts/pages

    • Image file names & alt text relevance

    • Avoid keyword stuffing or unnatural phrasing

    • Grammar & clarity

  2. Use Yoast SEO / RankMath to check:

    • SEO score (Green for Good)

    • Readability score (Green for Good)

    • No duplicate meta tags

  3. Optimize slug/URL — short, clean, and includes primary keyword (e.g., cashkr.com/sell-smartphone-safely).

Step 3: Final Approval & Publishing

  1. Approve the blog in CMS and mark as Ready to Publish in the tracker.

  2. Notify the Content Writer & Marketing Manager.

  3. Schedule publishing date & time.


Quality Standards

  • No plagiarism (must pass 100% Copyscape check).

  • Mobile-friendly formatting (short paragraphs, bullet points, subheadings).

  • Minimum 1,000 words for informational blogs; longer for pillar posts.

  • Voice matches brand tone (informative yet approachable).
