How to Change Customer Address or Contact Details Post-Booking
🎯 Purpose:
To help users update their address, phone number, or contact details after they’ve booked a pickup — before vendor attempts pickup.
🪜 Step-by-Step Process
🧾 Step 1: Verify the Request
Ask the customer to confirm:

Their original phone number or Order ID

What they want to change:
-
📍 New address
-
📞 Alternate phone number

✅ Confirm if the change is for:

Minor update (flat number, landmark)
-
Major update (new pincode or different area)
🖥 Step 2: Check Order Status
In the Admin Panel:

Go to Orders → Search using phone or order ID

Check if:
-
Order is still upcoming
-
Vendor has not attempted pickup yet

⚠️ If pickup already attempted, ask user to cancel & rebook.
✍️ Step 3: Edit the Order (If Allowed)
If editable:

Click Edit or go to Order Details

Update address/number manually

Save changes
📞 Step 4: Inform the Assigned Vendor
If vendor is already assigned:

WhatsApp/call the vendor:
“Please note the updated customer address/contact: [New details] for Order #[Order ID].”
✅ This avoids vendor going to wrong location or calling old number.
📩 Step 5: Confirm Update to Customer
Message:
“We’ve updated your address/contact details. The pickup will happen as per the new info. Thank you!”
